About ergonomica Hi, I am Jean-Francois Dubos the
living soul behind ergonomica. Observe, listen, analyse, improve. Good design is therefore achieved by transcending the confined world of the ego, to reach the awareness of the environment, and the understanding of the people living in it. By observing and listening, a designer gains the required insight to define a project prerequisites. By analysing these findings, what needs to be improved and how, can then be clearly stated. When the approach to a project remains constantly focus on the intended users and their context of use, the resulting work enables users to transcend the mechanics and focus solely on what they need doing. When this is achieved, a designer truly accomplishes her mission, and convincing others of following the users' path is at times part of it. This is the design approach I advocate and practice, and that forms ergonomica motto: observe, listen, analyse, improve. Contributions
